I think part of the appeal of opening up the bins that have been stacked in our basement for 10 months, is that we forget what is in each of them. I love reminiscing about where each item came from and who gave it to us and taking that trip down memory lane.
My husband picked these snowmen up a few years ago and gave them to me as a gift. At the time, I liked them, but now I love that they signify our family of three!
This snowman was carved by my brother and a gift from a couple of years ago. Have I mentioned how much I love homemade gifts?!
This nativity was made by my mom’s cousin and is one of my most treasured items since it is one of a kind. The attention to detail is amazing and the nativity set was a gift from my mom and is a perfect fit. This is next to our Christmas tree as it is just as important to us that we be reminded of what Christmas is all about.
Theses candle holders my husband made for me a few years ago and I leave them out year round, but at Christmas just tint the water a bit for some festive color.
When my husband and I were dating, I surprised him with a sleigh ride on New Year’s Eve and that year I got this from my in-laws as a gift. What a great reminder of that cozy date!
