We love writing our Christmas letter as we reflect on all this fun things we have done during the past year and looking through the thousands of photos we take each year to put together our photo card. We worked on our letter the weekend before last as we like to mail them out right after Thanksgiving.

We also love the pictures, cards and letters we receive. Each year, our family rates the Christmas letters we receive ranks our top 5 favorites in order. This year, we decided to have an official contest: By Christmas, whichever Christmas letter, card or photo we like best, we will send that person/family a surprise gift. We will announce the winner on facebook.
Since I am a firm believer in "A place for everything and everything in its place" I needed a place to put our cards/letters rather than filing them in the cabinet like we have done in the past. I am not one to display them as our fridge is not magnetic. This basket was a gift from my coworker at work that did not have a purpose. The greenery fell off of a Christmas decoration (I am still not sure what!) that was packed away. Now these both have a purpose and viola! we have a card basket!
