I scavenged this twig from a neighbor's burn pile last fall. Nothing is safe around me. My neighbors are just lucky I work during the day so I am not dumpster diving in their trash cans (kiddding...sort of). Anyway, I had a vision for this twig, but was busy with life so it remained in the vase with the other twigs I scavenged from the neighbors for several months.
I finally dug it out and got a plan in place to mount in on the wall in my entry. Well, my husband did the work; I did the planning and supervising. And I attached the frames. I LOVE the finished product, because not only does it bring nature into my home, but I enjoy stopping to look at the photos of my family. It is exactly as I had pictured it in my mind.
On the opposite wall, I found a simple 12 x 12 frame at Michaels for $14.99 that I can change the artwork in periodically. This is perfect for someone like myself that does not like to commit to decor for too long and doesn't want to spend a fortune to redecorate as often as I change my mind. Currently in the frame is my daughter's handprint:
What simple things have you used in your home to decorate? I would love to hear about it!
