Pumpkin patch

Every fall we get a season pass to our local pumpkin patch. We go with friends and family and sometimes just for mommy-daughter dates.
This past weekend my mom, grandma and aunt visited while my husband was out of town. Girls weekend! We spent time at the pumpkin patch together and had a blast!

My little girl just loves animals.

pumpkins!

Since my daughter no longer fits in a pumpkin like she did a couple years ago, this year we visited the pumpkin patch and picked out our own pumpkins instead of put her in one.

I love that my little girl picked out her "perfect" pumpkin...the one that has lumps all over it and no one else wanted. It does not have to be perfect, to be beautiful.

Tonight, we decorated pumpkins as a family that we will bring to a nursing home in our community. What a fun way to spend the evening, each of us working on our own pumpkin, yet working together.

oops...we got a little messy

 It is a good thing we are not dropping the pumpkins off for a few days as my little girl put so much paint on hers, it will take days to dry- literally.

Jack-o-lantern Pedicure {Halloween}

My little girl loves all things girly, especially manicures and pedicures. When asked what color she wanted on her toenails, she replied "pumpkin!"  I took this literally and thought I would try it out on myself to see how well it worked out before I gaver her a pumpkin pedi.

Here are the colors I used...

Start with a base coat of orange

Then I cut teeny tiny shapes from stickers. I used the "Q" which is always left over from my projects.

Adhered the teeny tiny shape to my toes

Painted on a stem with green polish and a clear coat on top

Of course, by the time I was done with my own silly toes, my little girl decided she wanted rainbows instead... So, I am the ridiculous adult walking around with pumpkin toes:)
