My little girl
(who I have always called
Bundle) loves to paint, but does not like to
finger paint because she doesn’t like to get dirty. How a child who loves to
play in the dirt does not like to play with finger paint, is beyond me, but she
much prefers to use a paintbrush. And she always has. She also love the
water and her baths. When I saw the idea for bath paints
here we got right on that project. I mixed shaving cream (I used
Skintimate Shave Gel because it was what I had on hand) and food coloring
together and bath paint was born. Bundle painted for 30 minutes in the tub the
first night and just loved it! We had to add more water to keep the tub warm.
The second night she painted for 45 minutes and I let the water cool in hopes I
could coax her out of the tub that way, but she was having too much fun to even
mind the temperature of the water!

We put lids on the containers to use the bath
paint again and although the consistency of the paint had changed, it still
worked beautifully days later. Here’s my tip: simply rinse the paint off before
it dries onto the tub. I rinsed it off while the water is draining, then pulled my
Bundle out of the empty tub (she insists on staying in until ALL the water is
out) and wrap her up “Like a Bundle” in her towel.

I love it, what a smart idea! And her hair in that one picture is just too cute! Thanks for sharing at The Fun In Functional :-)

Thank you so much!
She is quite the painter :). What a fun idea and thanks for writing in the details for results. This is something I can do for the grandkids when they visit.
